Grateful...

I win the mom of the week award for leaving Eden and Carter at Vacation Bible School a half an hour past pick up time! My brain told me it was over at 12:30pm instead of noon. Embarrassing!

The theme is Power Lab: Discovering Jesus’ Miraculous Power. It is at St. John’s Lutheran Church and they pulled out all the stops today. All of the leaders were wearing goggles, white lab coats and gloves, and when we came in there were several on the stage jamming to some Power Lab tunes.

Eden and Carter learned about how Jesus gives us the power to be thankful and came home with one suggestion on how to remember to show gratitude that I have never heard:

Think of something you do every day- like tie your shoes,

take a drink, or brush your teeth.

Plan to thank God for

something every time

you do that activity.

I am going to give it a shot, no pun intended...

I have so

much to be grateful for!

Today I am grateful that:

Landon is playing on the sewer and not in it.

Chaos ruled our house with 10 healthy kids running around.

Landon loves me so much that he wanted to be held all day.

You DO win! That may even beat out me locking Ava in her room because I was afraid of what I would do to her if I didn't... she was in there a good 30 minutes. :) Man, I felt SO proud!

Love the out of the sewer instead of IN the sewer... and those "tantrum" pictures of Landon are TOO cute!! That just makes me laugh.

LOVE the blog Jame, gotta keep it up!

{And I say "Jame" because I never call you Jami but Jame. I really do know how to spell your name.}

It looks great! You are going all out w/the different color fonts and sizes. Way to put in the time. I love your background too - where did you find it? Looks like your trip was wonderful. I don't know how you survived the car but sounds like you are still sane.

It looks great, Jami! Now you'll have to show me how to set up my own blog--- everyone is insisting that I'll need to start one after the baby comes!

So I will adhear to your rule about leaving a comment, although when was the last time you left a comment on mine? Is that because I'm not interesting? Just kidding. Love the blog. Glad you included us so we can keep up with your cute family.

Yeah Jami! It is fun to see pics of you and your family. I swear you never change! You're such a doll! And I LOVE "mother of the week" stories.. they always make me feel a bit better about my fabulous parenting moments (like yesterday when I was too obsessed with trying to keep one of the twins' bows on during church that the other twin fell off the bench..not so reverently. way to go mom.) Well, I'm glad I will have a better way to keep in touch with you now! My sister is moving to Texas in a couple weeks, so I've been thinkin' about you!

I love the perspective that the kids brought home about gratitude. I'm needing that right now with my pregnancy impatience in full swing.

Okay, so I was there when you were getting the blog thing started and I can't believe how much you've posted. I guess a few weeks have passed since we last saw you. I enjoyed reading about the trip and all that y'all have been up to. It sounds like the trip was fun. Road trips with the family are always the best. Have a great 4th.

I tried to comment but I think something happened, so I'm going to try again with the risk of looking like a dork with multiple comments. I'm so excited to know a fellow blogger! It cracks me up that you described yourself as simply flawed. I always describe you as simply perfect!
